Objective

Present the findings of a research project on various measures of empathy and their correlates, allowing for an intuitive visual comparison of how different empathies are correlated with key personality traits. Format was a 48” x 36” poster that was presented at the 2020 Annual Conference for the Society of Personality and Social Psychology.

Approach

Employed a multi-dimensional visualization strategy using radar charts to depict the relationship between various empathy definitions and personality traits. This approach helped in highlighting the nuances between different scholarly interpretations of empathy and their psychological profiles.

Tools Used

R and ggplot (using custom functions) were used to create detailed radar charts. This allowed for a clear, visual summary of complex multi-trait data, making the information accessible and engaging for viewers. Final design was created in PowerPoint.
